Frequently Asked Questions

  • Appointments are booked online through our booking system, making it easy to view availability and schedule at a time that works for you without the need for back-and-forth communication.

  • Not always. Many clients book their treatment directly. If you are unsure whether a treatment is right for you, or have specific concerns, you are welcome to book a virtual consultation online before scheduling an in-clinic appointment.

  • Appointment times are reserved specifically for you, and we require 48 hours’ notice for cancellations or rescheduling.

Cancellations or reschedules made less than 48 hours before the appointment time are subject to a $25 late cancellation fee. Appointments cancelled within 24 hours, or missed without notice, are subject to a 50% fee of the scheduled service.

For clients with prepaid packages, late cancellations or no-shows will result in the session being deducted from the package. The same policy applies to promotional appointments.

If an emergency arises, please reach out as soon as possible. Emergency situations are reviewed on a case-by-case basis.

  • The technology we use for laser hair removal is designed to be comfortable and is usually painless when the area is cleanly shaved. Occasionally, if hair is present above the skin, a brief elastic-like flick may be felt. Sensation varies slightly from person to person, but discomfort is minimal for most clients.

  • Both laser hair removal and IPL photo rejuvenation are progressive treatments and require multiple sessions.

Laser hair removal typically requires 6–10 sessions, with gradual reduction over time.

IPL photo rejuvenation usually requires 4–6 sessions, depending on the concern being treated and individual skin response.

  • Treatments are spaced to align with hair growth cycles and skin recovery. Most appointments are scheduled every 4–6 weeks, depending on the treatment area and individual needs. Timing is discussed as part of your treatment plan.

  • Laser hair removal provides long-term hair reduction, not guaranteed permanent removal. After completing a full series, most clients experience approximately 80–90% reduction. Occasional maintenance treatments, often about once per year, may be needed.

  • PL photo rejuvenation is used to treat a variety of skin concerns related to pigmentation, redness, and overall skin tone. This includes sun damage, age spots, freckles, rosacea-related redness, broken capillaries, spider veins, acne-related inflammation, epidermal melasma, and uneven skin tone.

IPL works by targeting pigment and redness within the skin while also stimulating collagen, leading to gradual improvement in clarity, tone, and texture over a series of treatments.

  • No. Laser and IPL treatments cannot be performed on tanned or recently sun-exposed skin. Sun exposure and heat in the skin significantly increase the risk of burns and other adverse reactions.

Skin must be free of recent sun exposure before treatment. This is reviewed through your pre-appointment paperwork and confirmed prior to treatment.

  • Laser and IPL treatments are safe for many skin types, but not all skin tones or conditions are suitable. Your medical history and skin type are reviewed in advance by a Certified Laser Technician to ensure treatment is appropriate and safe for you.

  • You will receive an email with detailed pre-appointment instructions and paperwork after booking. It is important to review this information carefully, as it includes preparation steps, clinic policies, and arrival details.

  • Most clients experience minimal downtime. For 24–48 hours, it is recommended to avoid activities that significantly heat the treated area, such as hot baths, saunas, or intense exercise. Retinol and active skincare products should be paused for 48 hours, and sun protection is especially important.

  • Results are gradual and improve with each session. For laser hair removal, visible changes are not expected for a minimum of 2 weeks following treatment, as this is the time required for treated hair follicles to detach. Most clients see approximately 10–20% reduction after each session, with continued improvement over a series of treatments.

For IPL photo rejuvenation, skin improvements also develop gradually as treatments progress and the skin responds. Immediate results are not expected after a single session, and timelines vary depending on the concern being treated.

Realistic timelines and expected outcomes are discussed as part of your personalized treatment plan.
